These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Patchwire, a website and free email digest operated by Patchwire ("Patchwire", "we", "us"). By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Patchwire collects publicly available release notes, changelogs, and news headlines about AI developer tools and AI news, and links to the original sources. The service is free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.

Subscriptions

You may subscribe with an email address you own or are authorized to use. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party content

Headlines, excerpts, and links belong to their respective owners and are shown for informational purposes with attribution and links to the source. Patchwire is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies or projects it covers. All trademarks belong to their owners. If you own content and want it removed, contact us.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt it, scraping it in a way that harms its operation, or subscribing other people without their permission.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Always check the original source before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US$50.

Content removal

If you believe material on Patchwire infringes your copyright or should be removed, email us with the page URL and the item concerned; we will review and remove it promptly where appropriate.

Indemnity

If you misuse the service in violation of these Terms, you agree to cover reasonable costs we incur as a result, to the extent permitted by law.

Sponsorships

Patchwire may display clearly labeled sponsor messages. Sponsors do not control editorial content.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.
